Abstract

This research, entitled the use of online learning platforms: advantages and challenges for teachers, analyses how digital platforms have transformed education, facilitating access to educational content and interaction between teachers and students. One of the main advantages is the flexibility offered by these platforms, allowing teachers to adapt materials to the needs of students and promote personalised learning. In addition, they foster learner autonomy, as students can access resources at any time and from anywhere. However, there are also several challenges that teachers face when using these tools. One of the main problems is the lack of adequate training, which can hinder the effective integration of technology in the classroom. In addition, some platforms require advanced technological infrastructure, which can be a barrier in resource-constrained contexts. Despite these obstacles, the use of online learning platforms continues to be a growing trend, due to their potential to enhance teaching and learning, if their limitations are properly addressed.
