Abstract

Violence against women is a phenomenon that occurs worldwide, due to gender discrimination, it is about demonstrating the power of men over women by performing degrading acts, this deplorable act, are rejected by human rights, international treaties and national, in the cases of the country of violence they are the most frequent, especially in rural areas, due to cultural influence where the roles of men and women have already been manifested, normalizing the abuses committed by men to demonstrate their power over women. women, the objective is to identify the causes of violence against women in the Andean context, the method used is a quantitative approach, the design is descriptive since it will allow presenting a reality, which will allow the implementation of public policies for the cessation of violence. violence, it was possible to conclude that violence against women is gender inequality, according to data extracted from the CEM, it was possible to identify the factors of violence against women in the department of Puno, which is located within the 10 departments with the most violence in Peru the level of risk of violence is moderate with 2412 cases, a study was carried out regarding the age most affected by violence, which was 18 to 59 years, the department of Puno reported cases of different types of violence due to their language in In the case of those who have Quechua as their mother tongue, 11,405 cases were reported and those who identified with Aymara were 1,443 cases, with a great difference of 9,962 cases. Another factor that allows the increase in violence is not knowing where to report these deplorable events, according to the CEM indicates that 46,189 victims of aggression did not report these acts of violence.
