Construction of the instrument for measuring and diagnosing academic procrastination (IMDPA) in university students 2021

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to construct an instrument of academic procrastination IMDPA to measure and diagnose it. Whose methodology was approached from the quantitative approach of applicative research type, pre-experimental-post-test research design, for which the analysis used factor analysis; with a population of 1976 people, for which the age of 18 to 35 years was considered. Results, where 4 factors were analyzed, where a variance of 58.593% was obtained, in the validity by experts a score of 0.95 was obtained, which affirms that the instrument meets the criteria of coherence, relevance and wording of items. Conclusion: the IMDPA instrument with 22 items measuring 4 factors, so when a high score stands out, it allows knowing the inadequate habits for academic work. As for the validity of the instrument, the explained variance was 58.593%. The reliability was 0.937, which shows a good internal consistency of the instrument.

Author of the books: music therapy as a psychotherapeutic alternative for children with aggressive behavior (2014); Avanti, tutoring 4th grade (2019) MOMANTAI (2020) ¿Hasta cuándo? (2021). 

Author of book chapters on topics of procrastination, stress and social networks.
