Set of actions for educational attention to students with physical disability of General Basic Education

Abstract

The educational attention for people with physical disabilities facilitates assistance through training processes from institutions and programs as support for human development, based on the balance between their needs and opportunities.  The purpose of the study is to propose a set of actions for the educational care of students with physical disabilities in the tenth year of General Education of the Dolores Cacuango Educational Unit in the city of Guayaquil. 


The research is field with a qualitative-quantitative approach, since it focuses on collecting, observing and synthesizing quantitative and qualitative data to acquire a better understanding of reality.  Theoretical methods such as historical-logical, analysis-synthesis, hypothetical-deductive, modeling, and systems approach were used; as empirical methods, the documentary review, survey, in-depth interview and observation of activities were used.  The diagnosis revealed deficiencies in educational care for students with physical disabilities, since there are still restrictions on acceptance, which prevents them from fully participating in all school activities. 


Specialists rate the theoretical feasibility as Very Adequate.  Besides, its implementation gave rise to the approach of students with physical disabilities, not only to classes, but to various activities programmed by the institution, it was based on the implementation of methodical, orderly, programmatic, coordinated and organized operations aimed at the specified needs.
