Abstract

The study described a series of global conditions that affect, promote or slow down the opportunities for the development of agriculture, especially for small and medium-sized local producers whose challenges faced by large producers force them to seek production and cooperation alternatives that allow them to find economically viable market niches to continue with the productive work of the localities Colorado (Benito Juárez), Arcadio Zentella, Juan Aldama and Nicolás Bravo, from Teapa, Tabasco, the producers of these localities are registered and grouped mostly in the Centro of community attention of the Sembrando Vida program, the objective is to know the agricultural productive capacity of small and medium local producers, the methodology is based on a mixed approach and exploratory-descriptive method, with the participation of 155 people as a pilot test, of which 59.40% of the male sex and 40.60% of the female sex, a questionnaire consisting of six sections with 65 items designed with quantitative and qualitative variables was applied and in conclusion it was observed in the results that the variables that stand out is the age of the producers of 31-40 year 23%, 18-20 years 2.6%, time working in agriculture 1-5 years 53.50%, surface used for crops of 1-5 hectares 92.90%, land tenure 47.10% is ejidal, 52.90% property private, regarding the workforce used by 43.20% temporarily hired personnel and 56.80% family members.
