Analysis of the influence of QMS in the supply chain of pitahaya agro-export companies in Ecuador

Abstract
The present research aimed to analyze the influence of quality management systems in the supply chain process of agro-exporting companies of pitahaya in Ecuador, at the beginning the documentary bibliographic research was used, which will collect all the literature existing about the subject of study; The second type of research was the descriptive one through which the characteristics of the agro-export companies were collected and conclusions will be drawn, in addition to having an approach with people related to the area in order to acquire knowledge of the management of the productive chain. The data were collected through different techniques such as documentary, survey and interview. It is concluded that, although the cultivation of pitahaya in our country has been carried out for several years and is currently exported to several countries, however, there is evidence of a lack in the formalization of processes that somehow reduces the quality of the exported product.

Ma. Belen Espinosa is an engineer in foreign trade and is pursuing a master's degree in business administration with a mention in quality and productivity. She has more than six years of experience in the areas of exports and imports, international fairs and missions, entrepreneurship, purchasing, customer service and sales. She was also a teacher at the Dismod design institute.

Santiago Nájera is an economist, lawyer, and Ph.D. in Business Administration. Likewise, he has master's degrees in finance, operations research, applied statistics, and total quality management. He has more than fifteen years of experience in the management areas of private and public companies. This includes experience in financial services, consumer companies, food, construction, mining, and oil. Where he has participated in issues related to finance, strategy, supply chain, and risk management. He has always been a key participant in the decisions within each of these companies. Also, he contributed as a consultant and advisor on economic issues for different ministers in Ecuador and Suriname, as well as played an important role in the formation of laws for different sectors of the Ecuadorian economy. Similarly, he has vast experience as a teacher in different universities at the national and international levels.
