Fixed income and variable income in Ecuador

Abstract

This paper seeks toknow the usefulness of fixed income securities which are those whose performance does not depend on theissuing company's results, but ispredetermined at the time of issuance, it can also be said that they are a collective loan that investorsgrant in exchange for a return; and the equity securities that are those that do not have a determinedmaturity and whose yield, in the form of dividends or capital gains, will vary according to the financialresults of the issuer. In addition, the objectives, functions, classification and risk that each of them coverswill be known. And in this way we will verify that the best way of investing exists is the diversification of isks that makes reference to share the risk; that is, obtain fixed income securities and, in turn, variableincome according to the investor's need.
