Psychoeducational care for children with autism spectrum disorders

Abstract
This research aimed to evaluate the methodological quality of clinical trials involving participants with autism. A literature review was conducted to identify the most relevant approaches, strategies and outcomes in psychoeducational care for children with autism. An interpretive approach was used to analyze qualitative data collected through interviews and observations, and an inductive analysis was conducted to identify emerging themes and categories. Results were organized and analyzed thematically, identifying areas for improvement in the methodological quality of clinical trials, such as lack of uniformity in the presentation of additional results and lack of information on the dates of recruitment and follow-up of participants. Despite these limitations, the literature review provides an overview of the methodological quality of clinical trials regarding the inclusion of participants with autism and may be useful in improving the quality of research in this field. Recommendations for future work are offered and implications for clinical practice are highlighted. In summary, this research highlights the importance of ensuring the validity and reliability of results obtained in clinical trials involving participants with autism.
