Abstract

The aim of the present study was to analyze the scientific evidence available on the most frequent behavioral manifestations in students with attention deficit in early childhood and their impact on their socioemotional and academic development. A systematic review of the literature was carried out using electronic databases and pre-established inclusion criteria according to the AMSTAR model. Eight studies that met the inclusion criteria were evaluated. The results indicate that the most frequent behavioral manifestations in students with attention deficit in early childhood are impulsivity, inattention and hyperactivity. These behavioral manifestations have a negative impact on students' socioemotional and academic development. Limitations were identified in the studies reviewed, such as the lack of representativeness of the sample and the lack of results at the beginning of the study. Future research with more representative samples and with a more rigorous evaluation of the results is recommended. In conclusion, the results of this study suggest the importance of identifying and addressing behavioral manifestations in students with attention deficit in early childhood to improve their socioemotional and academic development.

Teacher of early education; 4 years I worked in the children's centers of good living with children 3 and 4 years of age, currently working in the educational program SAFPI where playful activities that allow children to develop their skills and abilities from home working together with the family and the community more directly as we perform experiential activities where the infant is immersed learning from their context in a fun way, being their own protagonist of their new knowledge and skills development.

This is the origin of my need to study a little more about specific educational needs and what are the first warning signs that these children under 5 years of age may present.
