Main Article Content
Abstract
The purpose of this essay is to reflect on the most meaningful and up-to date schools which study the Second Language Acquisition (SLA) and Foreign Language Learning; their processes and effectiveness on adult students. Nowadays globalization demands a high level of communication through English language due to the fact that science, new technologies, e-commerce, e-tourism, on line education and on line work rely on English language skills. Labor and education fields have become life set for virtual education; hence, a proficient level of English language command is mandatory in communicative and scientific fields. Science and technology basically determine the development of a country in terms of its TIC’s innovation and general knowledge.
Vigotsky, Piaget, Chomsky and Paín expose their principles and methodology to achieve effectiveness in the language learning and acquisition process. The method used to perform the analysis of this argumentative essay is bibliography compilation and key foundations of these recognized language theorists. The most relevant conclusions reveal that: language learning and acquisition lie on the semantic milestones of the native language code. Second language and foreign language are always interconnected, and closely linked to their bounding. This effective amalgam will occur if the constructivism principles are meaningful and context rules are respected.
